News from Greenline
Giant Catering Pack Sizes - July 2009
We now have a section for very large catering packs for some products in sizes from 16kg to 25kg. These 'Giant' catering sizes are ordered separately from those in the main organic section: packs are placed in your 'trolley' and are priced to include carraige by ParcelForce within Zone 1 only.
Bulk Catering Pack Sizes - June 2009
We are very pleased to be able to re-instate the larger bulk catering packs for some products in sizes up to 16kg. Look out for these alongside the existing 'retail' packs.
Greenline Food UK - May 2009
Please note that we have no connection with a company known as
'Greenline Foods UK', or 'Direct Resources UK',
or any other company trading with a similar name or purporting to trade in similar products.
If you are a company selling similar products and have received an invitation to trade, this has not come from us. We do not make unsolicited requests and any genuine contact from us would, in any case, be by email via our own domain (greenol.co.uk). We would suggest that any such invitation is very likely to be a scam and should therefore most probably be ignored.
Only Organics - March 2009
We've now stopped offering non-organic foods for sale. The range of organic products is now so wide that we can no-longer justify listing non-organic alternatives - and our customers agree: it's been a very long time since we were last asked to supply a non-organic food product. The range of non-food, non-organic products continues to be listed though. Many of these products offer environmental advantages but cannot be labelled 'Organic'.
Fairtrade made easier - April 2008
We've now made it even easier to find fairtrade products on our site. At the top of each section there is now a link to 'view only fairtrade products' in that section. We continue to offer organic fairtrade products at a lower price than our normal pricing structure would dictate.
Environment Friendly Furniture - December 2007
We are pleased to now be able to offer a small range of environment friendly home furniture all hand-made by local craftsman Philip Risdon. Not only are these items beautifully made but they are also very environment friendly: the oak products are made from salvaged off-cuts and the pine products are made from reclaimed wood, breathing new life into what would have previously been thrown away.
Advertise with Greenline - October 2007
Yes. You can now advertise on the Greenline Website. Prices start from as little as £25 per month (or just £250 per annum) and each advert is displayed on all 5,000+ pages of the site. With over 1000 visitors to the site every day, that's quite a bargain.
Brand Owner Contact Details - July 2007
A new section listing the contact details for some of the brands we sell has been added to the site. If the details of a brand appear on this new page, the details will also appear on the appropriate individual product pages. This should make it much easier to find out additional information concerning a product direct from the manufacturer / brand owner. We will add to the list over time until all the brands are listed.
New Sections Added - April 2007
A number of new sections have been added to our site, yet again increasing the range of organic products available from Greenline. New sections include 'Superfoods', 'Baby Care', and 'Pet Food'.
Fairtrade at Reduced Prices - February 2007
We've always applied a more favourable pricing policy to organic products on our website than to the non-organic products. In February, I took the decision to extend this principle even further by applying an additional reduction to all our fair trade products that are also organic. To see the full list of all items affected, please visit our special Fairtrade Organic Products page.
Increased Range of Bulk Organics - August 2006
A further benefit of our improved delivery arrangements (see below) is that we can now include a much wider range of pack sizes in our Bulk Organics section. Some sections which were previously nearly empty (notably Dried Fruit) now offer a wide range of bulk-packed products.
New ParcelForce Contract - July 2006
Following the introduction of a new contract with Parcel Force, we are now able to offer delivery for larger orders by ParcelForce48 at no extra cost. Using ParcelForce gives greater security for your parcels with on-line tracking and signed-for delivery. We can also, for a small extra cost, send your parcel by ParcelForce24, so, to take full advantage of this, we have introduced a priority service whereby your order, once in stock, will receive priority handling in the packing room and next working day delivery. The additional charge for this service was introduced at £3.85
Greenline Club Membership - May 2006
We have decided that the time has come to concentrate our efforts on serving our existing customers and so will only accept orders from people and organizations who are on our 'club member' list. New members are invited to join once they have requested an invite via our 'mailing list' page. This should help us to continue to improve our service whilst also reducing our costs and, therefore, our prices.
Conservation Fund given new lease of life - March 2006
Our Conservation Fund, first set up over 10 years ago, has been given a new start in life in the hope of attracting donors from amongst our many satisfied customers. The fund will also be supported directly by Greenline.
New EU Section - January 17th 2006
A new section has been added to cater for our EU customers. This offers products suitable for despatch by Surface Mail, with the cost of postage and packing already included in the price.
Bulk Section back again - October 13th 2005
The bulk organic section has been re-instated for a trial period to allow assessment of its viability. Bulk packs are not always the cheaper option so check the smaller pack sizes as well!
Product pages go on a diet - July 18th 2005
The individual product pages now display the product name more prominently and have a slimmed-down navigation bar. This lets you go back to the page you came from or return to the home page, or go straight to the product search.
Non-organics section more clearly marked - July 4th 2005
The navigation bar for the non-organics section is now a bolder colour, making it even easier to see if you're looking at a non-organic product listing.
New 'Popular Brands' links - July 2nd 2005
The Home Page now provides a number of links directly to pages dedicated to a number of popular brands
